Using Discussion Frameworks to Direct and Strengthen Intellectual Conversations

Conversations.

Students learn so much from each other through conversing and we can learn so much about them through what they say. Hence, the reason that I love using discussion frameworks in my online courses.

In this video, you will learn how a discussion framework creates a student-centered environment that cultivates critical thinking skills while also guiding students through an in-depth discussion of course content. The live discussion format coupled with a cooperative learning structure gives students the opportunity to explain, share, and debate in a healthy context and is useful in online, blended, or face-to-face college courses.

After you watch, share your reaction to the video. Are you interested in learning more about discussion frameworks? Would you like more examples of types of frameworks you can use?
