Communicating Powerfully in Your Online College Course

Presence.

In your online college course, the way that you show up matters. In fact, there are more and more studies being published that reveal a strong relationship between social presence and retention in online courses. As a result, it is important for you to communicate, powerfully, in your online course.

Interestingly, according to the Community of Inquiry Framework, there are three dimensions to presence–cognitive, social, and teaching presence. Mastering all three should be of utmost importance to you because doing so will impact your satisfaction with teaching online just as much as it will enhance your students’ learning experiences.

In this mini-workshop, I focus on your social presence and share three areas in which you can become the master communicator as well as some tips on how to do it.

Be prepared to take notes as this mini-workshop is jam-packed with lots of golden nuggets that you can begin to implement, today.
